The HASHIRA 柱 Pendant

Crafted from folded steel, our HASHIRA pendant is a 2.25 x 0.25 x 0.125 inch metal bar that pays homage to the traditional kakubashira 角柱 pillars prevalent in ancient Japanese architecture.

With a simple yet timeless design that can be engraved with kanji of your choice, the HASHIRA complements any sort of outfit and can be worn for any occasion.

Necklace Attachment (Important)

As of September 2023, please note that we have sourced a bail attachment for our Hashira pendant due to customer feedback in requesting for an easier way to change necklaces. This bail attachment is not displayed in the above product photos, and can be easily removed/replaced if it is not to your liking.

The hole for a chain or bail is about 2mm across and located approximately 5mm from the top of the necklace.

Custom Engraving

Custom engraving is also available for those who wish to personalize their pendants to their tastes. Simply select the "custom engraving" option, and send us an image of your design and order number to info@hatanosen.com

Safety

As the smith does not mix chromium into the metal, your HASHIRA pendant should be kept away from water. We have applied a layer of lacquer to give the pendant a measure of water resistance, but it is always better to be safe than sorry! As this layer will eventually wear off over the course of normal wear, it is highly recommended to replace it with a jewelry sealant (or an alternative) in a month or so to protect the finishing of the pendant and maintain its water resistance.

Stainless Option

Due to popular demand, we now offer a stainless clad variant of our HASHIRA pendant! The metals used in the forging of this piece are of a lower carbon content with a limited chromium mix in order to provide greatly increased resistance to water based corrosion. Please note that this metal is not fully stainless, and thus should not be left exposed to water for extended periods of time.

I love both my accessories and both are beautiful hand Crafted. Only real complain is for the leather necklace on the pendant was difficult to switch when not using the triangle divider.

Pendant was absolutely amazing!

My husband had been wanting to find a unique necklace for years now. We finally came across Hatano Sen and their collection. I ordered the piece and it’s totally worth it! The necklace quality, weight, look and feel is stunning! We got it engraved as well, I like the raw feeling of it all, it’s beautiful!

The product was exactly as described, well-crafted, arrived in beautiful packaging, and got to my location in two days. Very satisfied.
