I was anxiously waiting for my order and when it finally arrived it was even better than I could have hoped, between the cool laser cut wood box to the heft of the charm it felt far better in the hand than I could have thought. The charm is of the finest craftsmanship and as someone who makes things themselves I can only admire the work and dedication that went into this 5/5 all the way!
So I ordered all 6 omamori available plus a magatama necklace. The quality in the smithing is unparalleled, truly a work of art. HOWEVER. I'm not super happy with the Kanji on the omamori for "love", and maybe it's a cultural thing. From how I understand it (my dad went to Japan for a church mission and taught me Kanji growing up) "愛" is the Kanji for love. But when I showed the omamori to my dad, because my Japanese sucks, he translated it to "MARRIAGE". I had him read the others and luckily everything else was fine (more or less). Just... kind of bummed I didn't get this checked first. Other than that, no complaints from me.
Hi Covey!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review regarding our 'Love' omamori. Traditionally in Japan, the kanji used for this charm is indeed '縁結' or 'En-Musubi'.
You can find out more about traditional/popular Omamori used in Japan on a number of published articles, for example: https://sugoii-japan.com/omamori-charms-amulets-japan
買咗兩款產品,一個係青金石(Lapis Lazuli)吊飾,另一個係「緣結」掛飾。 除咗之前提及到嘅,喺青金石嘅石體上有裂痕同埋凹陷之外,「緣結」掛飾喺產品完好度方面係冇問題嘅。至於視覺效果上,佢嘅配色唔會太過搶眼,整體設計比較樸素。
I really love it and the quality is really good!
It was a gift for my mother this year I’m sure she’ll carry it around knowing my love for her will never die
